Color Consultation

During your color consultation with Roe Painting, we will advise you on the best colors to complement your décor. We will help explain the variety of shades and finishes as well as how colors complement each other. We will also create some color swatches for you to see how the paint you choose will look on your wall with your lighting. Clean & Prep of Surfaces

After the color consultation and your choice of deck stain, Roe Painting first tests your deck to ensure proper absorption of your stain. When water is immediately absorbed, stains and sealers can be applied. water beading on the surface indicates no need for sealing.

Once the water test has been performed, your deck will be thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning removes dirt, nail stains, mildew, and algae and is vitally important to preventing your new stain and sealant from failing prematurely. We also remove all deck furnishings & furniture, sand any splintered areas, and cover any landscaping and exterior walls to prevent spotting & splatter.

Painting & Sealing

Using thin, even coats of sealer & stain, Roe Painting works the stain and sealer into the wood through back-rolling and other professional painting techniques.

Clean Up & Inspection

Roe Painting understands the importance of how your deck appears at first glance. Making your deck looking its best is our #1 priority.

Once the paint has dried, and the desired finish has been achieved, the cleanup process begins. Roe Painting removes all maskings and coverings which were placed to protect doors, windows, switch boxes, etc. from paint splatter.

After the maskings and coverings are removed, and the job site is cleaned up, a thorough inspection of the project is completed. We will go over the finished project with you in detail to ensure you are confident the color and finish are what you expected.

Fence Painting Process

Your fence is designed to add curb appeal to your property. When not properly maintained, fences can turn into eyesores and devalue your home or building. Surface Preparation

Once the color of your paint or stain is chosen, Roe Painting begins to prepare the surface. We lightly sand the surface removing any flaking or cracked paint, fill any holes and cracks with the correct filler, and fix any damaged or decayed fencing.

Ground prep

Roe Painting covers any plants or objects which cannot be removed prior to painting. This ensures no paint splatter damaging your landscaping or outdoor decor.

Primer

Primer protects your fence and ensures the paint or stain will last longer. Roe Painting applies a layer of primer to all panels. The primer will be allowed to dry completely before moving forward on the project.

Painting Your Fence

Once the primer has dried (usually 16 hrs after application), the first coat of paint will be applied to your fence. Our painters will apply the paint or stain evenly and in the case of a wood fence in the direction of the woodgrain.

Once the first coat of paint has dried (4-12 hrs after application), a second coat of paint may be needed. The second coat is determined by the condition of the fence and any environmental factors.

Clean Up and Inspection

All coverings, masking, and debris is removed from the job site. We then inspect the complete project with you to ensure you are confident and excited about the appearance of your fence’s new finish. Our goal is to provide you with an uncomparable exterior paint finish making you the envy of your community. Once the inspection meets your satisfaction completely, we ask you to sign-off on the completed project.
